About Us

Manos de Esperanza is a non-profit organization registered in the Secretary of the State of California and the IRS described in section 501c3 of the United States of America. 

Manos de Esperanza began his first steps after the devastating hurricane Mitch in November 1998, which affected the area of Central America.   Later, Manos de Esperanza started their official activities on 28 February 2001 after the tragic earthquake that affected El Salvador 4during the months of January and February 2001.

Our main and primary objectives are:

 

  1. To help needed institutions, families or individuals regardless of race nationality, gender or religious and political affiliation; by providing them, with food, housing, clothing and financial assistance.
  2. To establish and set up scholarships for those in financial need to promote a higher education for individuals of the community.
  3. To help needed schools by providing them with didactic materials.
  4. In case of natural disasters; provide emergency financial assistance, food, clothing and urgent help to victims.
  5. Provide financial support to institutions that provide technical training and educational activities that promotes the social development, productivity and protection of the environment.
